WHO ARE WE?

Savingcross Justicepoint

is a non-profit organization with her headquarters at Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria. The NGO is duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission under Part “C” of the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2004 with its primary focus on ending legal and social injustice as well as fighting against all forms of gender-based violence.

VISION

Our core goal is to become one of the world's most reliable and trusted go-to organization for the protection and preservation of the rights and interests of the vulnerable and indigent members of the community in the social and legal sphere.

OUR PARTNERS

We have partnership with several other organizations such as, Women Safe House, Legal Access Foundation International, the Nigerian Civil Defense and Service Corps (NSCDC), Living World Mission (LIWOM), Nathaniel Albert Foundation, Folajuwwon-Banjo & Co, Certa Legal , and RCCG Jesus Compass. We are also a member of Nigeria Network of Non-Governmental Organizations and the Ministry of Women Affairs – Rapid Response Team on GBV. We have been featured on press

We do several advocacy and sensitization against GBV, Child labor, trafficking, drugs, sexual violence and stigmatization

This involves free court appearances, police station, and other law enforcement agencies attendances on behalf of vulnerable and indigent members of the community such as women, children, young adults, and unlawfully incarcerated inmates awaiting trials.

for women, children, and young adults’ survivors of violence or currently facing abuse from dysfunctional families as well as for former indigent inmates.

Consultancy for groups and corporate organizations for policy development to promote a healthy work environment (free of Gender-Based Violence).

for women and young adults facing violence and newly released indigent inmates via skills training and business startups

Mentorship training and capacity building for adolescents achievable through capacity development and education.

teens affirm 2021

Teens Affirm is a summer event organized for young adolescents to equip them ahead of the future. it is a leadership development and mentorship  focused event that held every Wednesday, from 10am to 1pm on 11th of August to 8th September 2021.

Topics covered  include Sexual health, career talks, graphics and design, drug and alcoholism, trafficking in persons, child labour, leadership and self development, and vocational skill.

meet our founder

Mrs Oluwaseun Folajuwon-Banjo is a Lawyer, a development specialist and a human right advocate. She is the founder and Executive Director of Savingcross Justicepoint Foundation where she works to promote freedom and access to justice for indigent members of the community through free legal service and holistic service to combat gender based violence against women and children. She was the assistant public relations officer of the International Federation of Women Lawyers FIDA Oyo State Branch and She is member of the Oyo state of Nigeria Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion Rapid Response Team on Gender-based violence. A fellow of the Active Citizens Fellowship which is a community of active citizens working to impart their communities in diverse areas.
